A long, double column of American Legion Riders Chapter 2, set out on Sunday morning from Post 7 in Rochester on a charity run for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. They were heading for Gunstock to rendezvous with other Chapters and other sponsors from throughout the state.
Symbolically leading Chapter 2, for the first few yards, was young Maxwell Haslim of Barrington, whose uncle Dwayne passed away from the disease about three years ago. Behind him, on the left are his parents, Donald and Victoria, and on the right is his grandfather, Dan Daigle (with his grandmother, Michelle, just out of the photo). Behind Dan is John Froehling of Chapter 2, who is also the A.L. Riders state director. Late reports say that $19,000 was raised, statewide, for the cause.
